OMG i heard part of the song when i watched gonzo last nite! they stopped right when pete was gonna sing what defines him: 'he' s in love with rock n roll wow he' s in love with gettin stoned wow'. I was soooooooo pissed.

I always loved the song.

yeah Janie Jones is like my 3rd fav Clash song, and I love the Clash (im actually wearing a clash top right now lol) so im well happy about them covering it - especially because its for Strummerville

yes. just buy it through www.puregroove.co.uk the only shop you need for cds and vinyl!!!!!

Yeah, the Clash were my favorite band until I discovered the Libs, so this is heaven sent. I'm really glad they did Janie Jones, it's perfect.

Unless of course just Pete and Carl did Stay Free. I'd like that.:cry:

The Libertines were great. Definitely somewhere in my top favourite bands ever.

well,i can't really judge who's more dedicated to their fans but i can tell you what i know from my own experience:franz ferdinand has an AMAZING relation with their fans!and since i've never met the libs i can't compare them.

all i wanted to say really is that some other bands are also very dedicated to their fans. :)

there is no way that you can compare the dedication that the libs had for there fans to franz. i doubt very much, actually i know that frabz didnt have gigs at there houses, and 8 albums worth of material given away.

if they were that dedicated to there fans they wouldnt play gigs such as ally pally and charge £40 for a ticket.

libertines said they would never play bigger than brixton academy to keep the cost of the ticket prices down.
