Fri 13th (Barcelona)Very early start for all, bet meant we had a couple of hours spare in the afternoon to hit the beach - i missed the picture of swimming in the sea

Sound check provided a chance to look at all the other band's kit, including LCD and PJ Harvey

The festival site in Barcelona was amazing. A huge space overlooking the sea. Here is the main stage (Lily Allen was on)

Bromheads played a stormer. The tent filled up nicely as the gig went on

Post gig we explored the site and had some beers - this is Chris, Bromheads sound tech

Chris and Jono love each other really

A bit later in the evening, Lily Allen arrived, looking for Bromheads insisting she was a huge fan and loved What If's & Maybes

And then an early night, ready for...
SAT 14TH - MADIRDA nice leisurely wake up and trip to the airport.
We shared a flight with Bloc Party, Guillemots, PJ Harvey, Lily Allen, The Hidden Cameras and various other bands, to which Jono took delight in making a comparison to Buddy Holly's last ever flight...

The Madrid venue was like being in the desert. 40oc = too hot.
Here was their stage / airline hanger

And this was a roadie making the most of his sleeping space under the stage

Pre-gig

Mid-gig (during a shout to Mrs G to wish her a happy birthday)

Post-gig

As an aside, Chris and I were dancers for the Flaming Lips. This was amazing, expect we had to wear full santa outfits on stage for an hour, i nearly passed out

Here's an extra couple of beard shots

And finally we headed back towards our hotel at a late hour

Giles was not going to loose the glasses for anyone
SUNDAY 15th - HOMEAnd a finally shot for the long (and hungover) trip home
